Terms and Conditions: Tutoring and Courses

Payment Terms

Full Payment is due prior to course or session start time

Please note:

1.) The Service: We will use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that the course delivered matches the description and timings. Any changes will be communicated in reasonable time to you. 

2.) Your Obligations:

Please ensure you arrive to the class on time and comply with health and safety rules as notified to you at the beginning of the course.

3.) Timing estimations:

All timings on the course must be taken as an estimate due to the nature and unpredictability of the work. Unforeseen difficulties involving machines and individual design changes may delay the finish time. Every effort will be taken to ensure timelines are stuck to but please be aware of this when arranging transport.

4.) Available Materials:

Every effort will be made to ensure there is a good selection of leathers and materials available but sometimes compromise will be required from the student. Materials costs will be additional for 1-1 private workshops but inclusive for ‘Bag-In-A-Day’ classes unless prior arrangements have been made.

5.) Craftsmanship/ Quality:

Every effort will be taken to ensure the finished bag quality is high and your tutor will guide you through the process. But please be conscious that the completed bag is made by the student and so the result of the craftsmanship may differ from examples produced by tutor/ other students. Please also be aware the majority of the work is executed using hand tools on natural materials so there will be an element of individuality to each product. Leather is a natural material with varying degrees of defect, these will be avoided where possible but at times unavoidable. 

6.) Refunds

Regrettably, fees cannot be refunded for individual days lost after the commencement of the course. 25% of the fees will be refunded if there is a cancellation of minimum five weeks’ notice.

7.) Minimum Age Requirement:

Please contact prior to booking for students under the age of 18

8.) Postponement of classes:

If a class is postponed for reasons which we are responsible, including tutor illness, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the class.

9.) Events outside our control:

We shall not be responsible for any failure to perform or delay the course that is due to an event outside our control. In this instance we will contact you immediately and we will endeavour to commence normal running of services as soon as possible.

10.) Reproduction of course content:

All course content and materials have been created for the purpose of direct communication and teaching between tutor and student. This is copyrighted and may not be reproduced, copied or shared.

11.) Data Protection:

We will use the personal information you provide to us to:

  • Provide services
  • Process your payment
  • Inform you of similar products or services we provide, but you may opt out at any time
